HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) announced today $500,000 has been allocated for a vital improvement project in the 9th Legislative District through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). This funding is designed to enhance local infrastructure and stimulate economic development.

“I am proud to announce this significant investment in our community,” said Brown. “The renovation of the Union Station Crossing Wright Building will not only preserve an important historic site but also revitalize it for future use. This project will provide improved accessibility, safety and functionality for all who use the space, ultimately benefiting our entire community.”

The grant to DON Enterprise Inc. will fund a comprehensive renovation of the Union Station Crossing Wright Building, including exterior enhancements such as new windows and entries and exits, site work for stormwater management, compliance with ADA requirements, an improved parking lot and upgraded exterior lighting. The interior renovation will cover all five floors, featuring new mechanical systems – electric, heating, air conditioning, water, fire alarms, and fire suppression—as well as insulated walls, flooring installation, and finishing touches to create a welcoming environment.

RACP is a Commonwealth grant initiative managed by the Office of the Budget, dedicated to supporting design, acquisition, and construction projects that foster regional economic, cultural, civic, and recreational development.
